Bethesda has revealed Fallout Shelter, a free-to-play mobile game set in the Fallout universe, at their E3 showcase.
The game allows you to play as the overseer of your very own vault. As the overseer, your duties are to maintain the vault as well as keep its occupants happy and alive. Each dweller of your vault has their own individual stats and the ability to level up, and can be given new outfits and weapons to protect themselves as you send them on missions out in the wasteland.
You must keep a balance of food, water and electricity throughout the vault while dealing with challenges such as raider and radroach attacks as well as the possibility of fires. Though the game is free-to-play, you can add rooms to your vault with no wait time or pay walls, and the only microtransactions consist of the ability to purchase lunchboxes full of loot – which can also be earned in-game.
Fallout Shelter is out now on iOS. Bethesda’s Pete Hines has confirmed that more info will be given later on an Android version.
