If you’ve wanted to check out the Minecraft-meets-Metroid sidescroller Terraria, but haven’t had access to a PC that can run it, you’ll likely be glad to hear that Re-Limit’s hit indie title is making its way to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 next year.

Terraria utilizes 16-bit sprites, similar to Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis titles.
Terraria sees players exploring a large two-dimensional world while fighting off enemies and gathering resources. Using these resources, players can create new weapons, items, and materials, all of which are vital to surviving in the game. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will add new content not seen in the PC edition, thoughexact details of the bonuses have yet to be revealed.
The console ports of Terraria are being handled by Engine Software, and will be published in 2013 by 505 Games.
