When Assassin’s Creed III was released at the end of October, many players found a multitude of bugs, glitches, and oversights in both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. Ubisoft has now announced that these versions of the game will be receiving a “Thanksgiving patch” that fixes many known issues.
According to a forum post by Ubisoft Support staff member “FredEx919,” the update fixes multiple problems across the game’s single player and multiplayer modes. For single player, several notable changes include many mission-specific fixes, DLC-related fixes (Including an instance of the PlayStation 3-exclusive missions being referenced in the Xbox 360 version of the game), and changes to the in-game Animus Database in order to prevent unintended spoilers early on in the game. The game’s multiplayer portion will receive several balance updates. The full list of patch notes can be seen in the link below.
The update is set to be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players by the end of next week. It is currently unknown if the patch’s changes will be applied to the PC and Wii U versions of Assassin’s Creed III.
