During Spike TV’s 2011 Video Game Awards show, Naughty Dog announced The Last of Us, a post-apocalyptic action-adventure game. While much of the game has been shown since then, one thing that has remained a mystery until now is the game’s release date.
Tonight, Naughty Dog showed a new trailer of The Last of Us during the 2012 Video Game Awards show. At the end of the trailer, the game’s release date was shown: May 7, 2013. The trailer can be viewed above.
The Last of Us is currently in development by Naughty Dog, the creators of Crash Bandicoot, Jak and Daxter, and most recently, Uncharted. The game will be released exclusively for PlayStation 3.
