Assassin’s Creed has had its own separate multiplayer mode for several years now; however, the main game has always stayed single-player. Ubisoft is looking to change that with this year’s Assassin’s Creed: Unity.
During Microsoft’s Xbox press conference at E3, Ubisoft showed off a demonstration of the game for the first time ever, choosing to show off its inclusion of four-player co-op in the main story mode. In classic Assassin’s Creed fashion, the level shown had all four players infiltrating a Parisian castle during the French Revolution, aiming to assassinate a high-ranking target. Players will use crossbows, swords, hidden blades, and more to traverse the game’s open world.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is set to be released this fall on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game will be the first in the series to debut exclusively on current-generation consoles.
