The PS4’s most anticipated exclusive has finally gotten a release date. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will release March 18, 2016.
In an announcement on the PlayStation Blog, Naughty Dog has revealed several editions of the game as well as retailer exclusive pre-0rder bonuses (since everybody loves those).
The Special Edition of the game will include a collectible Steelbook designed by Alexander Iaccarino, a 48-page hardcover artbook, sticker sheet, and Naughty Dog points – in-game points that unlock multiplayer content. It will retail for $79.99 USD, $99.99 CAD.
For $40 USD more ($119.99), customers can upgrade to the Libertalia Collector’s Edition, which includes all the contents of the Special Edition plus a 12″ Nathan Drake statue, three multiplayer outfits, two weapon skins, Henry Avery Sigil in-game ball cap, and Madagascar sidekick outfits.
The $79.99 USD ($99.99 CAD) Digital Deluxe Edition will contain a digital copy of the game plus instant unlock of two muliplayer items and the Uncharted 4 Triple Pack, which includes access to the first-ever single player DLC in the series and two new multiplayer packs. The Triple Pack may also be purchased separately, and current pre-orders may upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition for $20 more.
As far as pre-order bonuses go, all customers that pre-order will receive the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune multiplayer outfit, Golden Weapon customization, and a pack of Naughty Dog points. In addition, GameStop, Amazon, and the PlayStation Store will offer exclusive pre-order bonuses:
- GameStop pre-orders will receive a Multiplayer Boost Pack, which unlocks several one-use multiplayer boosts, and a Phurba Dagger taunt.
- Amazon pre-orders get a Snow Camo weapon customization and Desert Drake outfit.
- PlayStation Store pre-orders will receive an Uncharted 4 dynamic theme and Desert Weapon customization.
All of that to say that Sony is pushing Uncharted 4 hard as a PS4 system seller when it releases six and a half months from now. Be sure to comment and tell us if you’re an Uncharted fan who’s ready to finish Drake’s story!
