Microsoft’s E3 conference was held at 9:30 AM PST today, and here’s a summary of everything that was announced:
- A new gameplay demo of Modern Warfare 3, featuring a raid on a submarine that is attacking New York. Game addons and map packs will be timed Xbox 360 exclusives, as was the case with Modern Warfare 2.
- Tomb Raider demo showing the beginning of the game, with Lara escaping from a flooding facility. Releases fall 2012.
- Peter Moore revealed four EA Sports titles with Kinect functionality: PGA, Madden, FIFA, and another undisclosed game.
- Mass Effect 3 will feature Kinect functionality for selecting dialogue and issuing orders to teammates.
- Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has Kinect functionality, also an extensive gun creation mode.
- New Xbox Experience: new dashboard design, voice control, Youtube and Bing, live streaming TV.
- UFC pay-per-view matches coming to Xbox.
- New gameplay video of Gears of War 3, with a massive sea creature attacking a ship.
- Crytek unveiled Ryse, a Kinect action game taking place during the fall of Rome.
- Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, with a remastered campaign, online multiplayer, and co-op. Releasing November 15th.
- Fable: The Journey is an adventure game featuring full Kinect functionality, releasing in 2012.
- Lots of Kinect games: Disneyland Adventures, Sesame Street: Once upon a Monster, Star Wars.
- Kinect Fun Labs: featuring avatar scanning, which scans your face and clothes and creates an avatar based on you; finger tracking, which allows you to draw with your fingers; and object capture, which lets you scan any object with Kinect and create a digital version to interact with. Launches today for all Xbox Live users.
- Dance Central 2, with simultaneous multiplayer. All songs from the first game can be imported.
- Halo 4 reveal, developed by 343 Industries and releasing holiday 2012. First in a new trilogy.
