Despite how Nintendo has acted as of late, they haven’t forgotten about their next-generation console; in fact, they’re almost ready to show it off again. During Satoru Iwata’s quarterly financial presentation, it was revealed that the company hopes to show off the console at next year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo.
We are also planning to launch the Wii U, which is the successor to the Wii, during the next fiscal year. We would like to show the final format of the Wii U at the E3 show next year
The company previously stated that they hope to release the Wii U sometime in 2012, and with what their president has said, it looks like they’re still on track for that release. Unfortunately, the long wait for E3 will now seem even longer.
