With Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II releasing next month, many have wondered: will the game be exactly like Episode I, or has it been improved? Some users now have an answer to that, thanks to a leak of the game’s beta on Steam.
The beta was discovered earlier today by a user at Sonic fansite The Sonic Stadium. While it has since been pulled from Steam’s servers and can no longer be downloaded, several individuals managed to download and play it. What can be gathered from their comments is that the game’s physics – something that is considered all-important by Sonic fans – and visuals have been improved from Episode I.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II releases officially on May 15 on PlayStation 3 and PC, May 16 on Xbox Live Arcade, iOS devices sometime in May, Android devices in June, and Windows Phone 7 devices in July. Unlike Episode I, the game will not be available on the Wii.
