Nintendo of Japan has marked the Aqua Blue 3DS as “scheduled to end production shortly” according to its website.
Aqua Blue was one of the original launch colors for the handheld, but since then the 3DS has added several other colors to its lineup, including Cobalt Blue.
No reason was given for the discontinuation of the Aqua Blue 3DS, but Nintendo of America has refused to comment on the status of the system in North America.
