With the release of the Ratchet & Clank Collection this summer, the majority of Ratchet & Clank games will be available to play on PlayStation 3. Following the collection’s release, Insomniac Games plans to add yet another game to the console’s library of titles; however, this one is brand-new.
Titled Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, the game will return to the classic R&C gameplay seen prior to last year’s Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. Described as a “fun-sized Ratchet adventure,” it is set to feature many familiar weapons from previous titles, while also introducing new weapons and features. The game will also include online multiplayer, though it is currently unknown as to whether or not it will be oriented around cooperative play, previously seen in Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, or offensive gameplay, such as in Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.
Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault will be released later this year for PlayStation 3 exclusively via the PlayStation Network, and is in development by Insomniac Games. The game is expected to be shown by Sony at the Electronic Entertainment Expo on Monday, June 4.
