Pikmin 3 Officially Unveiled

Shigeru Miyamoto kicked off Nintendo’s E3 press conference by officially unveiling the long-awaited third installment in the Pikmin series.

A new Pikmin was revealed: the Rock Pikmin, which you can use to break down hard objects. Your Pikmin can also find materials which can be used to construct things like bridges.

The basic controls use the Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk in conjunction with the GamePad. The game uses the Wii U’s higher resolution to give you a better view, as well as the GamePad to let you see a full map to help you strategize.
