The first major 3DS firmware update, adding the eShop and internet browser, will be available in North America the evening of June 6th, and in Japan on June 7th. Nintendo had originally announced a May release window for the update – no reason was given for the delay. The eShop will make available original downloadable titles for 3DS, as well as already-existing DSiWare titles. The eShop will also feature classic games from the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega Game Gear, and TurboGrafx 16. No word yet on whether the DSiWare transfer service will be available at launch.
