Last year, Kojima Productions revealed the FOX Engine, a cross-platform game engine that was stated to be the “best engine in the world.” Now, the engine’s first game has been announced, and it’s a pretty major one– the next main Metal Gear Solid title.

Snake is back.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is an open-world stealth game currently in development at Kojima Productions. While no release platforms have been announced at this time, a real-time demo of the game shown at a 25th anniversary celebration of the series was running on a PC with hardware matching current consoles. The game’s footage reportedly “wowed” viewers in terms of visuals, and depicted Snake sneaking past searchlights and taking control of vehicles. The game’s concept is a “Game without Game Over,” though no story-related details have been given.
While little of the game has been shown, and even less so to the majority of the world, Ground Zeroes looks to be an exciting new entry in the Metal Gear franchise. Expect more details of the game to come soon.
