After the critical success of last year’s Vita-exclusive title Uncharted: Golden Abyss, it’s no surprise that a new Uncharted game for PlayStation Vita has seemingly been revealed. What are surprises, however, are its developer and genre.
Two days ago, the Australian Classifications Board updated its website with a listing for a game titled Uncharted: Fight for Fortune. While the listing reveals little about the game itself, it mentions that the game will be for PlayStation Vita, and that online play will be available. In addition, the developer of the game is listed as being One Loop Games, a mobile game developer who has created such games as God of War: Betrayal, Spider-Man 3, and Ratchet & Clank: Going Mobile. While the studio has worked on Sony properties in the past, it is the first non-Sony-owned studio to develop a game in the series, as past games were developed by Naughty Dog and Sony Bend.
Following the discovery of the Australian Classifications Board listing, a member of online gaming forum NeoGAF found another listing for the game on the Brazilian software ratings website. The website lists similar information for the game, but with the addition of a genre: “Casino or Cards”. Rather than a platformer / shooter as in previous releases, Uncharted: Fight for Fortune could instead be a spin-off focusing on gambling.
Even with the revelation that Fight for Fortune may not be a “true” Uncharted game, are you interested in seeing more of it? Let us know in the comments section below.
