The promising upcoming Android-powered Ouya console will be shipping to developers on December 28.
Ouya is calling these “pre-launch” consoles and they will be exclusive to developers who backed the project on Kickstarter. The pre-launch units will contain an early version of the Ouya Development Kit and will allow for developers to test their games on Ouya and iron out any kinks.
When the final units ship, all Ouya consoles will allow for development, but these early consoles contain as-of-yet undisclosed features.
