Valve has officially released Big Picture, a new Steam service which will allow gamers to access Steam from their couch using a gamepad. With Big Picture, gamers can hook their PC up to a TV, access Steam, and play PC games from the comfort of their couch, as if they were using a console. The Steam experience has been streamlined for controller use, with the promise of even more features to come.
In celebration of the official launch, Valve is offering deep discounts on Steam games that support controllers. Titles including Left 4 Dead, Portal 2, and Castle Crashers are on sale for up to 75% off through December 10.
All previously purchased games, cloud files, and account information are compatible with the new Big Picture mode.
