Next year’s Dead Space 3 is set to be the first game in the series to feature co-op gameplay. Those who are skeptical about the new addition are in luck, as EA will be releasing a playable demo of the game late next January.
The game’s demo will allow players to try out the game’s new drop in, drop out co-operative gameplay, as well as the new Weapon Crafting Arena, which allows for – you guessed it – weapon creation from a variety of materials. In addition, Xbox 360 players will earn an achievement in the full game for completing the demo beforehand.
The demo will be released to the public on January 22 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Store, respectively. However, Xbox 360 players with an Origin account can register on the official Dead Space website to receive the demo on January 15.
Dead Space 3 is in development by Visceral Games, and will be released by Electronic Arts on February 5 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
