Nintendo pulled the lid off a bunch of new games coming to Wii U during this morning’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
Satoru Iwata announced that the Super Mario Galaxy team is hard at work on a new 3D Mario adventure, the Wii Party developers are creating a new party game for Wii U, and that the next Mario Kart game will be coming to Wii U (big surprise there). All three games will be shown in playable form at E3. In addition, new information regarding the Super Smash Bros. game in development for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS by Namco Bandai will be unveiled at the event.
Nintendo also showed off the next Yoshi adventure. GoodFeel, the creators of Kirby’s Epic Yarn, are developing the new game, which features the same adorable visual style, while Takashi Tezuka is heading up the game’s development. No title or release window has been given yet.
