In 2010, Call of Duty studio Infinity Ward had nearly fifty people leave and form a new team known as Respawn Entertainment. Since then, the group has been working on a new project, which has been revealed today as Titanfall.
Titanfall is a sci-fi first-person shooter that allows players to not only use a variety of weapons in combat, but also command mechs, run on walls, fly with jetpacks, and more. The game’s story follows a small militia as it tries to protect its land and resources from a large interstellar corporation.
Titanfall will be released by Electronic Arts in Spring 2014 for Xbox One. Versions for Xbox 360 and PC has also been announced, though they are being handled by a separate team outside of Respawn.
