It may have been one of the worst-kept secrets of the past year, but Rockstar Games has finally announced that Grand Theft Auto V will be released on current-generation systems and PC.
The announcement came during Sony’s E3 press conference today, alongside a new trailer for the game that was captured directly from PlayStation 4 hardware. While no new content has been announced, the new versions of the game will feature enhanced visuals to take advantage of the better hardware. In addition, Grand Theft Auto Online character progress from the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will be transferable to the new editions of the game, regardless of platform.
Grand Theft Auto V will be released this fall on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
