After months of rumors and a slip-up on the PlayStation Store early this morning, Sony has finally unveiled Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for PlayStation 4, as well as a surprise bonus for those who purchase it.
Developed by Bluepoint Games, The Nathan Drake Collection is a PS4 remastering of Naughty Dog’s three main PlayStation 3 Uncharted titles: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception. While the collection omits the multiplayer features of the latter two games, each title is being remastered with improved textures, models and lighting, as well as being presented in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second. Bluepoint is also said to be working on “improvements and additions across all three games” including a photo mode for taking screenshots. Finally, to make up for the collection’s omission of multiplayer from Among Thieves and Drake’s Deception, Sony is throwing in a bonus: the collection will include access to the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End once the beta is ready.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be released for PlayStation 4 on October 7 in Europe, and October 9 in North America.
