Stealth genre fans had a lot to be excited about when the original Dishonored was released in 2012, as the game was praised for offering variety that had seldom been seen since the likes of Deus Ex. Developer Arkane Studios has even more in store for fans, as Dishonored 2 has now been announced.
Announced by way of a CG trailer (seen above) during Bethesda’s E3 showcase, Dishonored 2 will continue to improve upon elements from the first game: players will be able to traverse through the game world however they choose to meet objectives, use multiple tools and abilities to take down foes, and even go through the world without killing a single person. The game is set on the island of Karnaca, and will feature two playable characters: original protagonist Corvo Attano, or former NPC Emily Kaldwin.
Announced alongside Dishonored 2 was Dishonored: Definitive Edition. While no screenshots of the release have been given at the time of this writing, Arkane states that the game will receive graphical updates, and include all add-ons released for the original version of the game.
Dishonored: Definitive Edition will be released this fall for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. While no release window for the sequel has been given, it will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
