The Final Verdict
This was the most exciting E3 in years, especially with new consoles on the horizon and their makers duking it out in such a blatant manner. It was amazing to see Sony taking potshots at Microsoft, Microsoft trying hard to defend themselves, and third parties bringing some great new offerings to the table.
But it all comes down to Sony. No company has come so far to redeem themselves in the last few years, no company has bent over backwards to appeal to gamers, and no company has sniped their competitor so blatantly at E3 in as long as we can remember. After being disillusioned and wondering how E3 will remain relevant these last few (bad) years, this year reminded us of why E3 is gaming’s biggest show, and it was in no small part thanks to Sony. So that’s why, despite strong offerings all around, Sony takes the crown as the winner of E3 2013.
The Winner: Sony

Definitely not Microsoft. For me, it’s really close between Nintendo and Sony. Nintendo had great games (Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8, Donkey Kong, Super Mario 3D World) but didn’t have a show. I really missed something like Miyamoto walking out on stage to the eruption of applause from the audience.
Sony had the best show, okay games (many will disagree I’m sure) but they sold me on the PS4.
So, I would say Sony.

The only other thing out of E3 to grab my attention was the PvZ shooter and nothing else in EA’s conference was interesting.
Um, yeah, it was Sony for me but I don’t think anyone is surprised.
