Final Fantasy fans may have gotten a glimpse into the series’ future in March thanks to Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae, but it’s easy to forget that Duscae wasn’t the “main course” of its release: it was bundled with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, an enhanced remastering of one of the PlayStation Portable’s most wanted games in the west. Soon, PC gamers will join those consoles in trying out the game, as Square Enix has announced a Windows PC port of Type-0 HD.
Announced as a part of MSi’s presence at the Taipei computer expo Computex, Type-0 HD for PC will feature several changes and improvements over the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One releases. While Square Enix has yet to go into detail on these alterations, they briefly described the PC version as including graphical settings (Hopefully with a “no motion blur” toggle), as well as improvements to battle and camera controls. Square Enix is expected to show off the game at Computex this week, as an MSi press release (which has been amended since its publishing to remove mentions of Type-0) stated that the game would be shown off on several of its new laptops.
A release date for Type-0 HD on PC has not been announced, but Square Enix has stated it will be released via Steam “soon”.

I had been intending to play the fan translation of the PSP version on my computer sometime since I don’t have a PS4, but I guess this is probably the better option now huh. I hope my computer can run it.
Unless Square Enix messes up the PC port like they did with the XIII games, it probably won’t require a computer that’s too terribly powerful. The main thing I could see possibly messing with performance is the lighting the game has going on, which can probably be toned down on PC.
