Here’s a summary of all the news from Nintendo of Japan’s conference last night.
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will have over 50 hours of gameplay, and will feature a second playthrough (Master Quest?) and Boss Rush mode after you beat the game.
- A Metallic Rose 3DS will be available October 20th in Japan.
- Mario Tennis 3D announced; features gyroscopic controls.
- A new Fire Emblem game announced for 3DS with 2-player co-op. Coming 2012.
- Square Enix unveils a new 3DS RPG: Bravely Default.
- Monster Hunter Tri G due out December 10th in Japan.
- Kid Icarus: Uprising delayed to Q1 2012.
- The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition available for free on DSiWare 9/28, until 2/20. Features a new single-player quest and classic areas from past 2D Zelda games. Local wireless multiplayer, but no online.
- Mario Kart 7 for 3DS features a first-person driving mode with gyroscope controls.
- A 3DS update in November will add 3D video capture, an improved eShop, and an updated Mii Plaza.
- The ridiculously hideous circle pad attachment has been confirmed. It’s compatible with several games including Monster Hunter 3 G, Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, Resident Evil: Revelations, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat 3D: Cross Rumble, and others.
- The circle pad peripheral will retail for 1,500 yen (a little under $20) and requires 1 AAA battery. Releases December 10th.
- Monster Hunter 4 coming to 3DS. No other information about the game though.
