With the PlayStation Vita having been released recently, the handheld has had a surprisingly solid amount of launch titles. If recent leaks are to be believed, even more great titles could be in the system’s future.
Online Jersey-based retailer Play.com allegedly posted four product listings for previously unannounced Vita games: Monster Hunter 3 Portable, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Nights, Tales of Innocence R, and Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. While three of the four listings were soon removed, the listing for Monster Hunter 3 Portable is still available on the site. The original listings for the games can be seen above, courtesy of Eurogamer.
It is interesting to note that each of the titles has a good chance of being real. Monster Hunter has been on Sony systems for a long time, with many of its games released for Sony’s previous handheld, the PSP. Grand Theft Auto also had several spin-offs for the PSP, with one revolving around Vice City. Tales of Innocence R, while already released in Japan, could perform well in Europe and North America thanks to the release of Tales of Graces F and Tales of the Abyss. Final Fantasy Type-0 was released for the PSP last year in Japan, but its development team has stated that they are working on an English version of the game, which could end up being a Vita port.
While it is uncertain as to whether or not the games are legitimate or fake, one thing is certain: the rumors are sure to be proven or debunked this Friday when Sony announces the next batch of major Vita games. FourPlay Games will keep you updated as news is revealed.
