Late last year, Sanzaru Games ported the Sly Cooper trilogy, originally developed for the PlayStation 2 by Sucker Punch, to the PlayStation 3. All three games featured enhanced visuals, improved framerate, trophies, and 3D support. Today, Glen Egan, the president of Sanzaru Games, confirmed that the series will be released over the PlayStation Network soon.
The three games will be released on the PSN on November 29. The games will be available individually for $9.99 each, or as the full collection for $29.99. Despite the recent creation of the PS2 Classics line on the PlayStation Network, the games will not be included under it, as they are the enhanced versions from last year, rather than the original versions.
The Sly Cooper games were some of the finest platformers available on the PlayStation 2, and are still enjoyable games even on the PlayStation 3. With the fourth game in the series, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, coming soon, this is the perfect opportunity for fans to recap the series thus far, and also for newcomers who are interested in seeing how the game play out.
