With Assassin’s Creed: Revelations having been released just last week, many assumed that it would be several months before the first paid DLC for the game would be released, similar to previous games in the series. Ubisoft, however, has different plans: the first set of DLC for the game will be released next month, followed by another set in January.
Titled the Ancestors Character Pack, the DLC contains four new characters for use in the game’s multiplayer modes: the Privateer, the Corsair, the Brigand, and the Gladiator. Each character features his or her own unique assassination styles, taunts, and weapons.
Ubisoft also announced that a second set of DLC, titled the Mediterranean Traveler Map Pack, will be released in January. The pack will include six brand new maps for the multiplayer mode.
The Ancestors Character Pack will be released on December 13 in North America for $3.99 on PlayStation 3, and 320 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360. A release for the upcoming PC edition of the game has been announced.
