PlayStation Network Accounts Being Renamed

Sony has announced via an email to PlayStation Network account holders that, as of February 8th, 2012, PSN accounts will be renamed “Sony Entertainment Network” accounts. This is part of Sony’s initiative to unify PSN with its other entertainment services. The actual PlayStation Network name will remain the same, and everything about the accounts themselves will remain identical, except for the name of the actual account.

The change will not affect the PSP, however, as that system will still show “PlayStation Network Account” upon logging in.
