Call of Duty: Black Ops II Announced

After numerous leaks and rumors, Activision has finally revealed the next Call of Duty game– Call of Duty: Black Ops II.

The game is set in the near future at around 2025, with Frank Woods – a character previously seen in Call of Duty: Black Ops – seemingly set to return as a major character. The first trailer for the game shows various futuristic-esque weapons and equipment being used in Los Angeles, California. Other scenes show gameplay in what appears to be the Middle East, with one clip showing the player riding alongside his teammates on horses.

Personally, I’m excited about the new game. Treyarch’s Call of Duty games have always been my favorites– while Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare games have a fun story, I prefer the multiplayer in Treyarch’s games, especially the Zombies mode. I can’t wait to see what they’re doing for Black Ops II.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is currently in development by Treyarch, and is set for release on November 13, 2012 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
