For $49.99, players get access to exclusive in-game content, such as dog tags, weapons, events, and higher priority when joining a server. In addition to exclusive content, purchasing Premium gives you early, free access to all of Battlefield 3′s expansion packs (including the previously-released Back to Karkand). Non-Premium users will be able to purchase the expansions individually, supposedly for $14.99 each.
Battlefield 3 expansions given release windows during the conference were:
- Close Quarters – today
- Armored Kill – September 2012
- Aftermath – December 2012
- End Game – March 2013 (Motorcycles added)
Battlefield 3 Premium is available right now on PS3, and will follow on Xbox 360 and PC next week.
