Sony’s mascot brawler has already received a bit of downloadable content, but next month, two more characters and an extra stage are joining PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale‘s roster.
The two characters come from series that are fresh on gamers’ minds– Isaac Clarke from Dead Space, and Zeus from God of War. In All-Stars, Isaac is clad in his Arctic Survival Suit from Dead Space 3 by default, and is able to use his Plasma Cutter to attack from a distance. Isaac is also able to slow enemies down using stasis, and his level-three special attack sends enemies floating into space, where he can take them out easily. Meanwhile, Zeus is primarily useful for close-range combat, though he can also clone himself and utilize lightning to hit from a longer range. His most powerful special attack sees him growing to an enormous size and stamping his enemies out with his fists. Finally, the new stage, titled Graveyard, is a mixture of scenery from the PlayStation game MediEvil and Giant Sparrow’s PlayStation 3 title The Unfinished Swan; as players fight on the graveyard level from MediEvil, paint will coat the stage similarly to The Unfinished Swan, revealing new platforms to maneuver on.
The new PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale downloadable content will hit the PlayStation Store on March 19 for both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The Graveyard stage will be priced at $1.99, while Isaac and Zeus will cost $4.99 each. Both characters will be included on a free voucher packed inside new copies of the PlayStation 3 title God of War: Ascension, which releases March 12.
