Nintendo officially confirmed during today’s Nintendo Direct that the much-anticipated spring Wii U update will be rolling out next week.
The most substantial update comes in the form of drastically reduced load times when returning to the Wii U menu or switching software. In addition, the update brings about the ability to transfer data between USB drives, background download while the system is off, automatically download updates for software, and launch the system directly into Wii mode when holding the B button during startup.
