That was barely an RPG last time, Kyle. The combat sucked. We’re going to do it bigger and we will settle for nothing less than a 9.5 on Gamespot – Cartman
The boys are back. If you missed out on 2014’s South Park: The Stick of Truth, then now’s the time to catch up. Ubisoft has announced a sequel, The Fractured But Whole, during their press conference today – and yes, that is a butthole joke for the title of a game.
Little is known about the game thus far, but from the trailer, it seems Butters has become the villain Professor Chaos and intends to take over South Park (and possibly the world). Who can stop the mad-man? Coon & Friends – Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, and Stan as their superhero alter-egos.
The game looks fantastic already and it’s great to see them returning to the series with a new plot. Moving from their medieval theme to a superhero one should offer some fun new mechanics and plenty of meta-jokes on why your character’s “levels” didn’t transfer over or why you have to learn new combo moves.
The game has a planned 2016 release and more details are sure to come as E3 chugs along.
