So uh… I’m honestly not sure what all to say about this. Partially because there isn’t much to say at the moment, and partially because I’m still shaking with excitement. Final Fantasy VII is being remade, and it’s coming to PlayStation 4.
Announced moments ago during Sony’s E3 press conference, a Final Fantasy VII remake is currently in development. In the game’s reveal trailer (seen above), several staff members were listed: Yoshinori Kitase, the original director of Final Fantasy VII, is producing the remake, while it’s being directed by none other than Tetsuya Nomura of Kingdom Hearts fame. While not much other information on the game has been given, it will be coming to PlayStation 4 before other potential platforms.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go watch that trailer another ten times.
