Ghost Recon: Wildlands closed off Ubisoft’s E3 press conference, taking the series to an open world for the first time.
Set in South America a few years from now, Wildlands sends players on a mission to eliminate the Santa Blanca drug cartel in Bolivia. Players can go at it alone or team up with friends, as they lead a four-player Special Operations unit through what Ubisoft claims is their most vast and diverse open world to date.
The player Ghosts have upgradable skills and a vast arsenal of weapons, vehicles, and drones at their disposal as they choose which way they wish to approach a mission. Players can utilize stealth, ambush, full-on assault, or any number or combination of methods to complete their mission. Ubisoft claims that decisions have tangible consequences in the game’s world.
