Gamers looking for the latest news on the next installment in the Modern Warfare series will be in for a shock if they try to go to modernwarfare3.com. EA has grabbed the domain before Activision and has set up a redirect to the official Battlefield 3 site.
The two series have always had a heated rivalry, but never so pronounced as it has been this year, with the third installments of both series hitting this fall.
EDIT: It seems that EA was not the registrar of the domain, as the domain has now been pointed to a gag site about how much “MW3 sucks”.
