Disney Interactive Studios has announced Disney Universe, a multiplayer-focused action-adventure game set for release this fall. Featuring characters from various Disney animation, live action, and Pixar properties, the game will allow you to explore six worlds from across the Disney universe with up to three other players. In addition, players will be able to dress up with over 40 different costumes of characters from Disney and Pixar movies, including Monsters, Inc., Tron, and Lilo & Stitch. The PS3 and 360 versions will feature downloadable content in the form of additional costumes, worlds, and more.
“Disney Universe is a vast treasure chest of Disney properties with memorable characters, places and experiences that gamers, as well as Disney fans will enjoy,” said Adam Sussman, senior vice president of publishing, Disney Interactive Media Group. “The fast-paced, frenetic gameplay combined with wacky humor and hilarious situations make Disney Universe the perfect game to play with family and friends.”

All I can think is “how will this be different from Kingdom Hearts?” and “it doesn’t even sound as promising as Epic Mickey did…” D:
Epic Mickey had a LOT of promise leading up to it, but it was ultimately a big letdown for most people. I need to see more of Disney Universe though, since the trailer really shows us nothing.
