Gearbox has officially announced the long-anticipated sequel to its hit co-op RPG Borderlands.
Borderlands 2 will carry players to regions of Pandora that were unexplored during the original game, with new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons, and equipment.
The game will be playable at Gamescom 2011 between August 17-21, and at PAX Prime from August 26-28. More details will be given in this month’s Game Informer magazine. Borderlands 2 will see a release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in 2012.
