Microsoft Phasing Out Glossy Finish 360s

Major Nelson announced via his blog that the 250GB Xbox 360 S will be transitioning from a glossy to a matte black finish, just like the 4GB system. All Xbox 360s will now feature the matte finish, except special editions such as the Gears 3 console.

If you really have your heart set on a glossy 360, now is the time to pick one up, as the new matte consoles will be arriving in stores “over the coming weeks” and when the glossy ones are gone, they’re gone.
