One of the more well-received Resident Evil titles of recent memory was 2012’s Resident Evil: Revelations, a game that attempted to bring the series’ horror side back into prominence. Fans of the game will be pleased to hear that Capcom has announced a second entry in the Revelations sub-series.
Titled Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (Known as Biohazard: Revelations 2 in Japan), the game features a brand new setting along with new protagonists, meaning that Revelations stars Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield will be stepping out of the spotlight. While no specific story details have been given, the game’s teaser trailer (viewable above) seems to depict the series’ classic zombies, which could mean the Ooze featured in Revelations is not making a return.
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 will be released in early 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
