Gamecube-less Wii Coming to North America

The Wii without Gamecube compatibility that was previously announced for Europe will be coming to North America, in a different bundle.

The new Wii will be available October 23rd for $149 and will include a copy of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and a Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, as well as the black Wii system and a Wii Remote Plus and Nunchuk.

For people who still want Gamecube functionality, the Mario Kart Wii bundle will be available alongside the new Wii, for the same price ($149).
