With the recent success of Resident Evil: Revelations, it would hardly be surprising if Capcom were to create another game in the series for the system. Luckily for fans, that may be the case.
According to Polish website mwrc.pl, Digital Spy posted about Resident Evil: Regeneration-Damnation-Downfall 3D. The title is set to be released for the Nintendo 3DS, and consists of three features: a 3D version of 2008’s computer-generated film Resident Evil: Degeneration, a 3D version of the upcoming CG film Resident Evil: Damnation, and a new game titled Resident Evil: Downfall. If the site is to be believed, Downfall follows the story of Claire Redfield between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6, and shows her side of the world’s “downfall.”
For now, the collection is merely a rumor, but it does seem likely that Capcom would release another entry in the series for the Nintendo 3DS. If it does truly exist, then Capcom may choose to show it at this year’s E3.
