343 Industries has announced that the promised remaster of Halo 3: ODST will be coming to The Master Chief Collection in a content update next month.
In addition, the remake of much-loved Halo 2 map Relic will be releasing alongside ODST in the same update.
The Master Chief Collection has faced challenges since it first launched last November, with an absolutely broken matchmaking system, connection issues, and glitches galore. In December, 343’s Bonnie Ross announced that the remaster of ODST would be available for free to all those who played the game between November 11 and December 19.
Despite this, many Halo fans have clamored for an extension of this offer, citing the fact that the game’s issues have extended far beyond that time period. A new update made available yesterday hopes to continue to mitigate those issues. For a complete list of fixes in this month’s update, check the source link below.

It’s considered a classic?
To some people. 😛
As bad as multiplayer can be in TMCC, playing campaigns in single player has never given me problems, so I’m excited to play ODST again. I do hope there’s at least some sort of discount at launch or something though, for those who didn’t play the game during the way-too-short timeframe announced a while back.
I know I’ve always enjoyed ODST, it was a nice change from Halo 3. Heck, I’d say it and Reach are my favorite Halo games, though I never did like the changes that 343 made to the latter’s multiplayer playlists. :/
