Adding to the list of game delays (and cancellations) this week, 2K Games announced today that The Darkness II, originally set for an October 2011 release, won’t be out until February 7, 2012, in North America and February 10, 2012 elsewhere. Likely delayed to avoid going head-to-head with heavy hitter FPSes such as Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, the game will now be released in a lighter (but still pretty heavily-populated!) release window.
Fans of the comic series and the first game should check out Comic-Con coverage for information from the “Spreading the Darkness” panel this Thursday.
