Telltale Games Announces The Walking Dead: Michonne Mini-Series

Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead has become one of the more successful licensed video game series due in part to how it weaves an original narrative around the long-running comic series; however, until now, it’s avoided making any very direct connections to Robert Kirkman’s series. Telltale is looking to change that this year with the announcement of a spin-off centering around comic character Michonne.

Titled The Walking Dead: Michonne, the three-part mini-series will explore the events surrounding Michonne between comic book issues 126 and 139. In particular, it will reveal why Michonne became separated from Rick’s group of survivors, as well as her history before she met with Rick. The gameplay will be similar to that seen in previous The Walking Dead games from Telltale, with players choosing how Michonne interacts with characters.

The first episode of Michonne will be released this fall for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows PC, Mac, iOS, and Android (phew, I’m out of breath).
